The Teylamail 27 – Gone to Market

Alaskan husky

Tying in with my Norse mythology post, I´ve got something quite interesting to show yous.

While we were in Lofoten there was a huge event going on. I know Mam and Dad have visited before without me, but this time I got to come too. Every year, the viking museum Lofotr invites vikings from all over to come together and feast, sell, buy, tell stories, exchange experiences and learn about and from each other.

More info about the market to be found here. Our favourite crowd of vikings, of course, is the Tromsø-based group Straumeyjar. I´m a bit upset with Mam for not using her big camera for this occasion, but she said it didn´t go well with her viking dress. Anyways, she didn´t want any legal issues for posting images on the blog without the consent of the people in the photos.

So here are a few photographs of our viking friends, or you know, some of the coolest people on the planet.

Heeey! Yeah. But I have to tell you, the best part of the holiday was when it ended and Mam and Dad went back to work and I could finally get some proper rest without having to keep track of all these humans!
